About JoAnn
JoAnn is a counselor, professor, speaker and author. She enjoys the variety and depth that each of these endeavors brings to her life.
JoAnn graduated from Bethel Seminary, St. Paul, MN in 1998 with a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and began private practice the same year. She completed the Christian Sex Therapy program through the Institute for Sexual Wholeness, Atlanta, GA in 2006. During her years of counseling and teaching, she has developed a special interest in working with premarital couples and has counseled over 350 engaged couples as they prepared to marry. She also works extensively with married couples and ministry workers, both missionaries and pastors.
JoAnn has served at Bethel Seminary as part time faculty since 2000. She is a trainer for PREPARE-ENRICH, a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) and a frequent speaker on premarital counseling and education, sexuality, marital enrichment and pastoral self care at national and local conferences.
JoAnn and her husband, Pat, have been married since 1979 and have three adult children.
