A guidebook for pastors, professional and lay counselors to enhance the practice of premarital counseling. Based on interviews with pastors and a survey of over 350 premarital counselors, the book will address the felt needs of those who work with couples preparing to marry in today’s culture. The book will cover the basics of healthy marriage as well as dealing with couple’s issues (abuse, pregnancy, multiple previous marriages, intercultural/racial marriages, cohabitation, etc), family of origin, remarriage, and new models for counseling and education. Most exciting will be access to downloadable interview forms and exercises for you to use in your counseling practice.
